The park is open for the whole year to visit any resort in Jim Corbett for your outing but you must visit during October to February which is the best time to spot Tigers, Elephants, and other wild animals.
- The Bijrani zone closed from 30th June to 14th October.
- The Dhikala and Sonanadi zones are closed between 16th June to 14th November.
- The Jhirna zone is open for day safaris all through the year, but availability is subjected to road and weather condition.
If you want to ensure the safety of visitors coming to the reserve, these zones can be closed as per the weather conditions.
Jim Corbett is the oldest National Park of India, spread over more than 500 sq. km. The name Jim Corbett is derived from the famous hunter turned nature conservationist “Sir James Edward”. Jim Corbett Park is nestled in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. If you are visiting from airways, the best and nearest possible airports to the National Park would be Dehradun and Delhi.
By road - Start journey from Delhi and then after crossing Ghaziabad or Noida, hit straight to the NH24 towards Hapur. After Hapur, Gajrola and Garhmukeshwar, reach Moradabad. Don’t enter into the city instead turn right to Moradabad bypass road, Thakurdwara and then Kashipur and you will reach Ramnagar.
By Rail - The nearest railway station to Jim Corbett is the Ramnagar Railway station. Ranikhet Express is the direct train from Delhi to Ramnagar and is the best one to reach there. The train runs on a daily basis.
There are several Jim Corbett resorts available in the forest area. Tourists can book forest rest houses in the Dhikala, Jhirna, Sultan, and Gairal zones. Other than these, there are many luxury resorts in available on the outskirts.
